Description
The popular standard “Autumn Leaves” is derived from a French ballad written by Joseph Kosma in 1945. “Les Feuilles Mortes” loosely translates to the dead leaves. This arrangement begins with the seldom heard first verse. I found this on a “Pop” recording done by Maurice Andre. Maurice’s version was orchestrated by the iconic French Composer, Michel Legrand. This orchestration was skillfully transcribed from the original by David Catalan.
